Consequences

If you obey the classroom rules and follow the procedures, there are several positive consequences you may enjoy.

Positive consequences include:

Development of critical skills for success in the 21st century.
Money for college or technical training after high school.
Praise from your teacher.
Respect from your peers.
Approval from your parents.

If you fail to obey a rule (including the one about following procedures) you may be subject to certain negative consequences. Also, keep in mind that what you do in the hallway, in the classroom, and on the computer may be recorded, photographed, and reviewed.

Negative consequences include:

Initial Violation(s) - Reprimand
Subsequent Violation(s) - Detention(s)
Continuing Violation(s) - Referral

Negative consequences also include contacting parents. The negative consequences for violating some school and district rules may be different. Failure to serve scheduled detention(s) will result in a referral. Particularly disruptive or disrespectful behavior will result in an immediate referral.
